Evaluation of Media Preliminary Task

Cinematography- This was good, shots that were used were striking and appropriate, Comments made by peers and teachers on quality of cinematography. Specific reference made to color's used and colour correction. However, in my opinion, specific shots were not as smooth as they could of been, for example, at  0.44, the shoot is not a stable as it could of been. Use of a glide rail could of removed this issue. Or re shooting this shot in order to achieve the "gliding" effect.

Another issue i found was the overexposure of shots. The "trance sequence" was deliberately over exposed to separate this from the rest of the clip, however, the shot at 1.21 was overexposed, this is because i had not changed the ISO settings from the inside of the coffee shop. Exposure was to high and gave a overly bright effect.

Editing- There were issues that i found within my editing. Certain transitions between shots such as 0.24 and .26 didn't give at much of smooth transition effect as i wanted, it felt a little jittery and forced.However, my match on action was good and i was happy with the fluidity of the shots.

Colour- I was happy with the colour that was used within the video, no colour correction was used but i was able to change the colour balance on the shoot due to using magic lantern Firmware. 

Focus- No focus issues were found in the project, only overexposure problems.

Sound- Sound was an issue at first in the film. The camera settings had to be altered to increase audio gain, this was an issue. However, once settings were altered this was not an issue.
